She then established her own wedding dress and evening wear company, Susan Khalje Couture, before focusing full-time on preserving the techniques of couture sewing. Susan is a contributing editor of Threads Magazine, was honored with The Association of Sewing and Design Professionals’ Lifetime Achievement Award and hosted Sew Much More, which ran for 6 years on HGTV and DIY. In addition to her frequent contributions to Threads Magazine, she has written for every major sewing publication. Her books include the best-selling Bridal Couture: Fine Sewing Techniques for Wedding Gowns and Evening Wear (Krause) and Linen and Cotton: Classic Sewing Techniques (Taunton). She has contributed to The Experts’ Guide to 100 Things Everyone Should Know How to Do and profiled in More Magazine’s 50 Celebrate 50. She has also taught for Craftsy/Blueprint: the extraordinarily successful Couture Dress and Guipure Lace Skirt classes. She is a charter member of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals (formerly The Professional Association of Custom Clothiers) and has served as its chairperson. She is a member of The Fashion Group International, The Costume Society of America and was awarded an honorary lifetime membership to the Smocking Arts Guild of America. |
We ship 5 days a week (Mon – Fri) and do our best to get orders packed and dispatched within 24 hours from time of order. However, orders placed late on Fridays or over weekends will only be shipped the following Monday.

Payment is taken at the time of order via our secure checkout service, which can be made by Visa, Mastercard & Globalpayments. All prices are regularly checked to ensure they are published correctly but from time to time there may be errors beyond our control.
We make use of UPS or DPD (depending on the region) for all fabric deliveries. Yarn and samples may be sent in the post but will always be sent first class.
While we do our utmost best to ensure the speedy and safe delivery of any order, we cannot guarantee the performance of third parties. Please ensure that the contact details (phone number and email address) are correct at time of ordering as these will be used to contact you to inform you of delivery. Please note, we cannot deliver to P.O boxes.
Upon dispatch from our premises, UPS or DPD will email you with a tracking number on the listed email address provided with your order. You can log on to their relevant websites to track your order and see where your order is in the delivery process.
Please note that orders outside the EU may be liable for import duties or taxes. These are usually collected by the relevant couriers. Surcharges may be applied if goods purchased are returned due to non-delivery.
