At Linton Tweeds Ltd we are always looking at ways to improve the experience for our customers around the world, and today we are pleased to announce an important update for our American customers designed to make ordering from us simpler, quicker, and more transparent.
Over recent months, we understand that many customers in the USA have experienced increasing challenges surrounding import duties, tariffs, and customs processes. With the implementation of new systems and procedures before deliveries can be released, customers have often faced unexpected delays, additional courier charges, and requests for payment before parcels can be delivered. We know this can sometimes create uncertainty and frustration during what should be an exciting delivery experience.
After listening carefully to customer feedback, we have now introduced a new option at checkout which allows American customers to choose how they would like duties and tariffs to be handled. Customers can either continue with the traditional “Pay Fees at Delivery” option, where charges are collected by the courier before delivery, or they can now select our new “Pay Fees Upfront” option and pay these charges directly to us during checkout.
By offering the ability to pay duties and tariffs upfront, we hope to create a much smoother and more seamless ordering process. This option should help reduce the unexpected deferment and handling charges often added by couriers, while also helping parcels move through customs more efficiently and with fewer delays. Our aim is to make the process clearer, easier, and more convenient for our American customers from the moment an order is placed right through to delivery.
Using the service is simple — customers can proceed through checkout as normal and select either “Pay Fees at Delivery” or “Pay Fees Upfront” depending on their preference. This gives customers more flexibility and greater control over how import charges are managed.
The USA continues to be a hugely important market for Linton Tweeds Ltd and we remain committed to improving our international customer experience wherever possible. We hope this latest update helps make ordering our luxury tweeds even easier for customers across America, and we look forward to continuing to ship our fabrics worldwide with the highest levels of service possible.
