Giulia Mio Millinery
" As a couture milliner, quality is key to my work, and Linton Tweed has been consistently providing it since I started using their beautiful fabrics years ago. Their choice of colours, texture and designs is second to none: there is always something interesting and unexpected among their range, and I can find fabrics for all my needs, from classics to more exuberant ones. The feel of the materials is fantastic; they are easy to work with and manipulate, never too loose or too stiff, making them perfect for millinery. If you are working with these beautiful fabrics for the first time and are concerned that manipulation (in the case of millinery) will open the material too much, seal it with light non-woven interfacing; it will limit the fraying at the edges and still retain the softness. I would suggest doing the same if you are using Linton Tweed to make a garment, like a casual jacket, to help retain the shape of the cut pattern. If you are upping your game with a fitted coat, maybe use a woven interfacing instead: it will do the same job, but add a bit more structure to the finished garment, without compromising the look."

Cassidy Sewing Services
Cassidy Sewing Services is based outside South Lanarkshire, UK. "Sewing mostly custom keepsakes and accessories. I choose the Linton Tweed Craft packs as they really fit the bill for size, quality and of course luxury. There’s always a fantastic mix of textures and designs, with 30cm x 40cm size pieces I use the tweed to make unique pieces which I raffle off for charities. The craft pack is so inspiring, a flavor of sumptuous designs and really gets your inspiration flowing. To make sure I represent the fabric properly, I always use a high quality cotton woven interfacing, and cut patterns using a rotary cutter and mat. This prevents lumps and bumps when stuffing and also ensures perfect cutting without stretching or overhandling the tweeds.’
