I was working for a big fashion house at the time and I came across a small Linton swatch, and everything paused. The texture, the unexpected mix of yarns, the way the colours layered in such a fun way—it felt like stumbling upon something I had been unconsciously searching for. When the fabrics arrived, I knew immediately that they were different. They didn’t just offer quality; they carried a kind of spirit.
As I began working with Linton’s tweeds, my design process shifted. Their fabrics have this rare blend of tradition and playfulness—structured enough to shape a garment with confidence, yet full of personality and movement. Designing with them felt like a conversation between the fabric and my ideas, a push-and-pull that opened up new possibilities. Instead of forcing a concept, I found myself letting the material guide me.
Over the years, that initial spark has grown into a truly meaningful relationship. What started as admiration from afar has evolved into a partnership built on trust, respect, and genuine creative support. As my collections have grown, Linton has been there every step of the way—especially Irene offered me expertise, sharing new developments, and treating my work with the same care she gives to long-established couture houses. Linton has helped me find the perfect textures for challenging ideas and introduced me to yarns that expanded my creative vocabulary.
Today, Linton is no longer just a mill I source from. They’ve become part of the story of my brand—woven into the heart of my collections. . And each season, when their new fabrics arrive, I feel the same excitement I felt the very first time.
